To make using paper towels truly convenient, it is better to place them on a special holder. How to make a paper towel holder yourself? Any housewife can handle these!
We offer 5 ideas and master classes for homemade holders and stands for paper towels with your own hands.
Examples of layout in the kitchen
- For small kitchens, a holder on a rail attached to the cabinet above the sink is suitable. The stainless steel construction is not afraid of moisture. Therefore, rust will not appear on the product.
- You can attach the product to a cabinet or to the outside of a door by securing the entire model using a suction cup or screws.
- Desktop types of holders should be installed next to the stove or refrigerator.
- In a small room, it is better to mount mechanical dispensers on the wall next to the stove or above the table, observing safety precautions.
- Owners of large kitchens have more options; they can install two types of holders: automatic and simple. The classic holder can be placed on the surface between the stove and the sink. This will provide instant access to towels in unexpected situations. A mechanical dispenser will emphasize the status of the owner and create ease of use, observing sanitary rules.
You will learn how to make a wooden holder for paper towels with your own hands in the next video.
Peculiarities
A device such as a holder helps keep paper towels, foil, and cling film neat and tidy and adds a touch of modernity to a bathroom or kitchen space. Holders have different characteristics and even functions that help make the accessory popular and useful. Generally, it is often used because it is compact and easy to use.
The product should be installed on any surface and should be secured with suction cups, screws or magnets. Operation will be clear for any user. Holders can be divided into two types - mechanical and simple. The second type is characterized by installation in homes, and the second model is best suited for installation in public places. Mechanical models have a large number of advantages, and such products are distinguished by compliance with all sanitary standards, as well as large capacity.
What are the holders made of?
In every home you can find an old paint roller or hanger. Skillful householders are capable of anything, and have come up with a use for such things for rolled towels in the kitchen. But these options are very simple and we even have creative types of products.
From a leather belt
On each belt, holes should be made along the edge with an awl, and the belt should be folded in half and indentations should be marked on the edge. Similar actions should be done with the second strap, and insert the fittings into the finished products. To install the holder on the wall, use screws or suction cups. If you use the second option, it is better to glue everything with super glue, and you can immediately make additional holes in the belt
It is important to attach everything evenly so that there is no tilt, and then put the rod in the loops of the belts, and for decoration, the joints and the rod should be tied with strong rope or woolen threads
To make this wall paper towel holder you need to prepare:
- Adhesive composition.
- Newspaper tubes.
- Barrel rod made of cardboard.
To begin, make a plug from newspaper (paper), and it should be inserted inside the cardboard rod, and also lubricated with glue in advance. Prepared tubes from newspapers need to be wound one at a time onto the pipe along the pipe and fixed with PVA glue. After this, when the rod is formed, you should prepare the base of the holder, and for this you need to cut out circles from cardboard and cover everything with newspaper. The diameter of the stand should fit nicely with the rod. If the structure is made of one type of newspaper in black and white, then to preserve the material you should cover the rod with tape. To prevent the holder from becoming colorful, use self-adhesive paper.
Wood
To make a wood model you need:
- Circle for stand.
- Rod for support.
- Drill and adhesive.
It is better to choose a smooth material for the holder so that you do not get hurt on the surface in the future. A hole should be drilled in the center in the stand, and the diameter of the support must necessarily correspond to the recess inside the circle. The final step will be to fix the parts with adhesive, and then leave the product to dry. If desired, you can also paint it, coat it with varnish and decorate the holder.
From pipes
A very interesting way to make such an item for decorating a bathroom is a product in the form of a bar. Moreover, this technology is very simple and can be done with one’s own hands, even by a person without much experience in the field of homemade products.
The main thing is to have the necessary material and strictly adhere to the sequence of actions described by us, and then the finished piece of bathroom furniture will certainly delight you with its functionality and stylish beauty.
The range of products is wider than for sheet products. They come with a central hood. The towel is pulled out of the roll by the free end and torn off through special perforated holes. The option of cutting the towel to the desired size using a mechanical knife, which is activated by a special button, is used. There are devices with teeth.
In everyday life, such options are not very effective, but they have many followers. Most often they are installed in individual homes with large bathrooms. Products are larger in size than sheet boxes. Specific consumables are required that are suitable for the specific type of dispenser. Replenishment of consumables is carried out only after the previous one has been completely used.
A more complex design necessitates regular preventive maintenance to inspect and repair the holder. But in general, the functionality of machines for roll paper towels is high. They are reliable, equipped with special locking and braking devices that prevent excess material consumption. Scrolling of rolls occurs in silent mode.
Experienced housewives can easily offer us a number of arguments in favor of using paper towels:
- a paper towel absorbs moisture better than a fabric towel;
- they are used in the preparation of a number of dishes;
- paper is easily disposed of and recycled;
- all kinds of contaminants are thrown away along with the paper and will not fall on the hands of another person, as in the case of using a reusable towel;
- It’s easier to buy and throw away paper than to wash and iron fabric.
As for towel holders, a wide variety of them have been developed both in terms of the material from which they are made and in design. There are wall-mounted, table-top, floor-mounted and even built-in furniture options. A special place is occupied by automated dispensers that feed and cut paper of a certain length.
Automated dispensers
Typically installed in bathrooms and kitchens by wealthy individuals. There are fully or partially automated devices. Paper feeding and cutting is carried out using touch devices in a non-contact manner or using voice commands. The products have a complex design. As a rule, if the unit fails, it cannot be repaired independently.
Touch devices operating from autonomous power sources stand apart. They can be standard batteries (usually 2-4 pieces). The towel dispensing time does not exceed 3 seconds. Standard paper length is up to 35 cm. In terms of efficiency, the device is comparable to holders that work with sheet papers.
In terms of functionality, automated dispensers are not much superior to simpler devices. But they emphasize the financial well-being of the owners, their desire to keep up with the latest achievements of science and technology. The choice of consumables depends on the machine setup. Paper rolls can be perforated or solid, and have restrictions on the thickness and density of the material.
Benefits of towel holders
According to their density, roll napkins are divided into single-layer, two-layer and three-layer. The colors are varied: from plain white to textured with a stylish pattern.
The main principle when creating such an accessory yourself: a roll of paper towel should unfold comfortably.
Then it will be comfortable to use.
The holders are made either wall-mounted (hanging) or table-top. With such a design, you don’t have to worry that the roll will fall or roll somewhere. Moreover, the stand can be positioned so that it is always convenient to reach napkins. And for housewives, maximum comfort in the kitchen is the key to success.
If you make interesting holders, your kitchen will be filled with an atmosphere of comfort.
A handmade product gives the room a homely and warm atmosphere.
Mixed dispensers
The equipment is used for both roll and sheet paper towels. The roll rod is easily removed and the unit is loaded with sheet paper towels or napkins.
Such a hybrid is rare in the private sector or apartments. The design is too bulky and takes up a lot of space. There is no practical need for a two-variant device. It is used when solving some special design problems.
The trend towards expanding the mass use of paper towel dispensers at home has become irreversible due to the high degree of hygiene.
As the research activities of scientists and specialists continue to develop, we should expect the appearance on the markets of highly efficient automated devices designed for use in private premises. The demand for them will grow exponentially.
How to make a paper towel holder: methods
Hanging towel holder
The finished holder looks like this. It takes up very little space and has an additional shelf.
Buying an expensive towel holder is not cost-effective, but making one yourself is as easy as shelling pears!
To make such a stand with your own hands, you need to have skills in working with wood and ordinary carpentry tools (chisel, hacksaw, hand router).
First, the horizontal shelves are prepared. Grooves are cut along the edges and then processed with sandpaper.
Even such a thing as a towel holder can make the interior of your home more interesting.
Next, the side parts are made. Using a template, the desired shape is cut out, and then also processed with sandpaper.
The round blank is made with an “allowance” of 2-3 cm.
The grooves and ridges are carefully coated with glue, connected and tightened with clamps. The finished holder is coated with paint or varnish. Then they are attached to the bottom panel of the wall kitchen cabinet.
You can make such a functional and hygienic little thing.
Making a wall-mounted towel holder
From the hanger
This is the most basic option. All you need is an old hanger. There are two ways to hang a roll on the bottom bar: either by making a cut on it, or by bending it.
You can spray paint from a can, stick on glitter, or wrap the product with a beautiful ribbon.
Everything that comes to hand is used as decor: from soft toys to jewelry and cutlery.
Both out-of-fashion beads and wooden beads strung on a thread from a craft store are suitable for this holder.
If you want a creative solution, you can buy wooden balls and string them on an elastic band.
The beads are strung on a fishing line or wire and closed into a ring. Its diameter varies, depending on personal preferences and conditions.
The model made of natural wood looks stylish and cozy.
The result is a stylish thing.
This wall model is easy to make from leftover leather.
- Two rectangular leather fragments;
- Awl;
- Rivets;
- Wooden base for roll;
- Decorative elements as desired.
Holder on leather straps.
The belt sections are folded in half and holes are made in them. They are combined and fixed with rivets. Then the structure is attached to a vertical surface.
The length of leather straps may vary.
Since you are making the holder with your own hands, make it so that it is convenient for you.
Desk holder
Loft style
This stand will require skills in working with wood and metal.
Metal options can be painted with enamel or left without additional coating.
To make it you will need:
- Metal tube;
- Stub;
- Metal disk with a hole for a pipe;
- Wooden circle;
- Sandpaper;
- Drill, metal screws;
- Degreaser, paint for wooden parts, enamel.
Stainless steel demonstrates high resistance to the negative effects of high indoor humidity.
We combine the metal and wooden circles, having previously made holes for the screws.
We screw the pipe into a metal circle and put a plug on the upper end.
When finished with a roll of towels, the stand looks like this.
If desired, you can use a suitable plastic tip.
From tubes
A stand made from newspaper tubes is a great opportunity to create a creative accessory and get rid of stashes of old newspapers.
We cut the newspaper sheets into identical medium-sized rectangles and carefully roll them diagonally. Fix the edge with glue.
This option will appeal to lovers of eco-style.
Then we form a round base from the resulting parts. It can be glued to a CD stand or any other round flat shape. We make a border along the edge.
A cardboard cylinder from paper towels is used as the basis for the pin. It needs to be cut and rolled tightly, and then covered with newspaper tubes.
Then, on 13 racks, you can weave a “half-wall”.
Coat the entire structure with PVC glue and then paint it any color.
The finished product turns out to be a very creative model.
You can’t immediately tell that this towel holder was made by hand.
Alternatively, you can weave a stand from newspaper tubes. But this will require weaving skills.
A DIY kitchen accessory is always original and convenient.
A little imagination and available tools will help bring interesting ideas to life.
Wall
There are many options for how to make a dispenser on the wall.
From the hanger
The simplest option is considered to be from a hanger. To implement it, you need to take a hanger, preferably plastic or metal.
Then you can proceed in two ways:
- unbend and put on the towel roll;
- cut the lower part of the trempel in half and, slightly bending the halves, string the roll onto them.
Decoration can be done at your discretion. You can wrap the hangers with decorative cord, braid, or lace.
If these methods don't seem interesting, you can paint them with spray paint, decorate them with rhinestones or even decorative mosaics. In each case, the master tries to choose the decor to match the overall design idea.
From beads
A wall-mounted version of a paper towel holder can be made from old beads or using large decorative beads strung on a thread or elastic band. To do this, you need to thread the beads through the roll sleeve and secure them to the wall. This option looks stylish and modern.
From belts
Another option for a wall-mounted towel holder can be made using leather straps.
To do this you will need the following items:
- awl;
- two leather straps;
- wood rod;
- metal rivets and fittings.
First you need to make 5 holes in each strap. To do this, each of them needs to be folded in half and 2 through punctures made at a distance of 5 and 18 cm from the edge. An additional hole must be made in one half at a distance of 7.5 cm from the end of the strap. Then you need to install the rivet in the aligned holes, which were made at a distance of 18 cm.
Requires wall mounting. For this purpose, you can use a screw or suction cup, which should be installed in holes made at a distance of 7.5 cm from the edge. They must be attached along a strictly horizontal line at a distance of 45 cm from each other. After this, it is worth using the last rivets for the holes 5 cm from the edge. The last step is to thread the wooden rod into the roll sleeve and thread the ends through the loops in the straps.
What can be made from paper towels
We have selected for you several life hacks and useful uses of paper towels in everyday life, in the kitchen and for cosmetic purposes.
Paper towels in the kitchen
It often happens that when pouring any liquid from a bottle, a telltale droplet flows from the neck along the walls of the vessel. In order not to stain your hands and tablecloth with such a bottle, you can wrap it in a paper napkin. This is how samilie is often made in restaurants. For simple culinary use, simply secure the napkin with a thin rubber band. The paper will absorb excess liquid, such as oil, and it will not drip onto the table or tablecloth.
Storing vegetables and herbs in paper towels
To increase the shelf life of foods in the refrigerator - vegetables, fruits, herbs, fish, meat - wrap them in a paper towel. The paper will absorb excess moisture and allow air and carbon dioxide to escape. To keep the greens looking fresh, you can wrap them in a slightly damp paper towel.
Paper towel tea strainer
A paper towel also works well as a filter for tea and coffee. Just need to take an unscented and preferably two or three-layer paper towel so that it does not tear from exposure to water.
A roll of paper towel turns into two rolls of toilet paper
A life hack that probably everyone has thought of is to turn one roll of paper towel into two rolls of toilet paper! Profit! But calculations show that this is far from a profit in terms of cost - such toilet paper is more expensive.
Express cooling of drink bottles with a paper towel
An excellent solution was suggested to us by a lover of cold alcoholic drinks. To quickly cool the bottle, just wrap it in a damp paper towel and put it in the refrigerator. After 15-20 minutes, the champagne or wine is chilled and ready to drink. You can speed up this process using the freezer - the main thing is not to overdo it.
Checking the stitching after lubricating the sewing machine
Using a paper towel to repair sewing machines turned out to be unexpectedly useful. After lubricating the machine mechanisms and adjusting the settings, we recommend checking the stitching on several layers of paper towel. All excess oil will be absorbed and the mechanisms will rub under a slight load in the form of paper.
Storing and germinating seeds in paper towels.
Summer residents use paper towels for storing and germinating seeds. The paper is convenient because you can glue seeds onto it and label which plant it belongs to. You can sprout at the right time directly in napkins, pouring water on them. The great thing is that you can also plant sprouted seeds in paper. This reduces the risk of sprout diseases introduced by the summer resident.
We look at the photos - what kind of devices there are, and choose what suits us.
Agree, it is impossible to get down to business without evaluating existing models. Let's look at the photo and try to awaken our imagination.
Wood is often used as a material for a homemade towel holder in the kitchen. This tabletop option with a drawer for kitchen utensils can be easily replicated by a home craftsman with carpenter skills.
The wall-mounted roll holder looks very impressive. The main material is plywood, and you need to work with a jigsaw and a burner.
The hanging paper towel holder can be attached to shelves above the cutting table. This is a factory version, but bending a strip of metal in a vice and then painting it is not difficult for a home craftsman.
Another design for those who know how to work with metal is shown in the photo. We have the drawing and dimensions, we can start.
Paper towels can be displayed for everyone to see or, conversely, hidden. In the first case, a stand from an unnecessary globe is great. The second option is a neat shelf for small items, made from ceiling plinth.
The design of a vertical tabletop towel holder is quite popular. In this case, the fabric can unwind and sag. To prevent this from happening, you can provide an original limiting element.
Donating one kitchen cabinet drawer for paper towels is entirely possible. It's nice to have a good supply of paper nearby.
This “construction” option also has the right to life. That is, you can hang the towel on a holder from a paint roller or on a thick piece of copper wire that was left after the repair.
Here is a stylish factory-made organizer for paper towels. Why not make such a device yourself? As an idea:
- select a large lid from a plastic container;
- we cut out a spiral-shaped body from a colored and thick plastic bottle, and provide bends in the lower part for attaching to the base;
- there will be some suitable rod or tube in the household;
- we install the shell and stand into the lid, and then temporarily fix them in the desired position using tape, clothespins, wire, or anything else;
- pour a solution of cement and sand into the base in a ratio of 1:3;
- After the cement has completely hardened, we paint the base from the inside with acrylic paint.
A heavy base will give the structure the necessary stability. Do you think everything will work out?
Necessary materials
To make a roll paper towel holder you will need planed pine boards. The homemade dimensions are small, so you can take 15–25 mm thick scraps left over from previous projects. If you don’t have a suitable material in your home workshop, you can glue together a 180 mm wide wood panel with your own hands or purchase a small ready-made furniture panel.
A round stick with a diameter of about 25 mm, for example, from the handle of a garden tool, is suitable for the crossbar. The side handles are slightly modified door handles. Although such parts are not a problem to turn on a wood lathe. You will also need a magnet, wood glue, a drop of any universal glue and a screw.
How to make a holder
The design of the towel holder is so simple that all the work can actually be done with hand tools: cut out the grooves with a hacksaw, and then remove the wood with a chisel. Well, if you have a circular saw or router, it will be much easier, and the connections will come out neater. What you definitely can’t do without is an electric drill and feather drills.
Start with horizontal shelves
Prepare two blanks with a width of 180 mm and a length commensurate with the roll towels used. Cut grooves along the edges on a circular saw or select them with a hand router. Sand the edges with sandpaper.
The parts of our towel holder are held together with glue using grooves and ridges. Strong docking joints ensure rigidity of the structure and do not require reinforcement with screws. The dimensions of the cutouts are given for pine board with a thickness of 18 mm; if using another material, calculate the cutouts yourself.
Make two sides
Mark a side panel with rounded cutouts on a wooden board, cut the workpiece with a jigsaw and sand the edges with a grinder. Make a second piece using the first as a template.
Mark the location of the grooves on the inner surfaces of the sidewalls, which should be 1 mm wider than the corresponding ridges on the horizontal parts. Select the recesses with a groove disc or router bit.
Take a round blank for the crossbar with a length allowance of 2–3 cm and sand its surface. Measure the diameter of the stick and select a slightly larger feather drill. Mark the drilling centers on the sides and make holes: on the left workpiece with a depth of up to half the thickness of the material, and on the right - a through hole.
Assemble the holder parts together
Coat the grooves and ridges of the blanks with glue and assemble the structure. Tighten the workpieces with clamps and wait for the adhesive to dry completely. Then secure the handle to the left side using a countersunk screw, screwing it into the bottom of the blind hole.
Make a blind hole in the right handle to the size of a round stick, limiting the drilling depth to 15 mm. Fasten the parts with wood glue.
Insert the crossbar into the holder until it stops and determine the length of the stick, taking into account that the magnet subsequently placed at the end should protrude slightly from the surface. Saw off the excess wood, select a recess for the magnet and secure it with multi-purpose glue.
Cover the wood with stain or varnish. Once dry, secure the holder with short screws to the bottom panel of the kitchen cabinet, and hang a roll of paper towels in place.
Our homemade product can also be mounted on the wall through furniture corners installed inside the shelf. In this case, the top panel turns into additional storage space.
Types of bathroom towel holders
The interior of a bathroom will not be complete without a towel holder - a necessary part for daily use, which must be correctly, conveniently and securely attached. Today, there are a variety of options for towel hangers. Standard and universal models are replaced by creative design solutions, which, in addition to their practical function, also perform a decorative one, setting the tone for the entire interior of the room.
Towel hangers are:
- Over the door. Often, such devices are used when there is no free space on the floor and walls. The best option would be to attach a strip with several hooks to the door. A good alternative to hooks is a ring towel holder, which can also be installed on the door.
- Floor-standing. Such structures can be mobile or stationary. We are talking about racks with many holders. The main materials used to make floor towel racks are metal and plastic.
- Wall-mounted. This type of towel holder is the most common. This is due to the fact that in every bathroom there is a place to place towel holders on the wall. Wall hangers are usually made in the form of tubes and a pinwheel. The first option ensures faster drying of fabric items.
In addition, modern designers have come up with a type of towel holder called a half-chair. That is, the back of the chair is attached to the wall with its front part, while at the same time there is no seat in front. On the back of a chair with several openings, you can hang as many towels as you can install slats in the form of wooden strips. This type of wooden furniture, coated with special anti-water paint emulsions, was created almost recently and is suitable for the interior of spacious and modern bathrooms. Thanks to the paint coatings, fumes and moisture are not a problem for the “chair back” hanger.
Method 4
This original design holder consists of leather straps and a wooden crossbar (you can also use a metal one).
You will need:
- Crossbar made of metal or wood.
- Pieces of leather belt or strips of leather.
- Screwdriver, dowels, hardware.
Instructions on how to make a towel holder with your own hands, in this case, look like this:
- First, take measurements of the surface where you are going to use the towel holder. This will determine the possible length of the rod and the number of crossbars used.
- Prepare the crossbars. Treat the wood with an antiseptic and varnish. The metal crossbar can be left unchanged or coated with enamel paint.
- Cut the leather straps into 2 parts. Fold each piece in half. Make through holes in each of them with an awl. These holes are used to fix the strips on the wall.
- Sew the straps so that the wooden or metal rod does not fall.
- Fix the structure to the wall using self-tapping screws or dowels.
- All that remains is to put a towel on the rod and assemble the structure completely.
Paper towels are always an indispensable item in the kitchen. I suggest making a towel holder with your own hands. Its design is very simple, and creation will take no more than two hours. At the same time, you will get a very durable holder, you will be sure of its durability, as well as the fact that it is environmentally friendly. And imagine how much better a wooden holder looks than a plastic one.
To create a holder for paper towels we will need: the remains of a wooden board 2 cm thick, thick steel wire, 10 self-tapping screws, an angle grinder, a grinding attachment for an angle grinder, a drill.
1. Cut a rectangle from the board with dimensions 33 by 10 cm.
2. Cut out 2 rectangles 10 by 12 cm. Using a grinder, cut off one corner and make it rounded.
3. We put a sanding attachment on the grinder and grind the parts to perfect smoothness.4. We take a piece of wire 36 cm long. We wrap one edge so that we get a hook.
5. Now we assemble all the elements of the holder. Using self-tapping screws, we attach the sides to the back wall.
6. Using a drill with a drill of a thickness equal to the thickness of the wire, we drill holes in the side walls.7. In the back wall we drill three non-through holes approximately to the middle of the board thickness.8. We thread wire through the holes in the side walls.9. We insert three self-tapping screws into the previously made holes and use a drill or screwdriver to screw them into the wall.10. Here our holder is ready. All that remains is to put on a roll of paper towels. To do this, take out the wire from one side, put on the roll and thread the wire through the side wall again.
A paper towel holder is most often mounted on the wall near the sink, but you can also find a place for it near the stove. It is very convenient to use, firstly, because the towel is always at hand, and secondly, because by tearing off one towel, you will never stain another.
Our article will tell you how to make a paper towel holder with your own hands.
Today, almost every housewife has paper towels in her kitchen, and for comfortable use it is important to properly secure the roll of towels to the work surface
Suspension
Using scraps of copper pipes, you can make your kitchen more convenient and also save space.
You will need:
- copper fittings (tube, 2 corners and cap);
- a metal circle for fastening with a hole in the center equal to the diameter of the pipe and 4 holes for screws;
- Super glue.
First you need to measure a tube 2 cm longer than the length of the roll and another about 10 cm long. The second piece is needed for fastening under the kitchen cabinet. Don't make it too long so that the towels don't hang too low. We must not forget that installation will add a couple more centimeters.
Next, you need to fasten the tubes together using a corner and superglue, which should be applied to the inside of the corner. Then the second corner and cap must be attached to the other end of the long tube. Do not forget that the cap with the corner should be parallel to the short tube.
The third step is to secure the short tube in a metal circle. The last step is to attach the entire structure under the kitchen cabinet using screws, Velcro or suction cups. Next you can put on a roll of towel.
This option does not require much effort, and the assembly method is somewhat reminiscent of a construction set. It can give the kitchen some zest.
How to make a towel rack with your own hands?
Some people feel sorry for spending money on a hanger, while others want to show off their skills and craftsmanship. In both cases, an excellent solution is to create your own copy with your own hands, designing it with imagination and invention.
- For example, take a wooden board, decorate it beautifully (painting, burning, overlays) and attach several hooks to it. For the shabby chic style - just right.
- You can also build a designer hanger in the shape of a tree, which will be painted on the wall in the right place. Having purchased hooks of the appropriate color, we fasten them to the drawn branches. It looks very interesting, beautiful and fashionable.
- If you have large wooden clothespins left over from your grandmother, you can make a hanger out of them. By attaching clothespins to the wall (pre-painted to your liking) or to a wooden board. Each clothespin can securely hold one towel.
- And one creative person, who felt sorry to throw away old wooden hangers, came up with the idea of using this item in the form of a hanger. All you need to do is turn the hangers over and attach them to a wooden block on the wall. You can hang two towels at once - on the hook (which is now below) and on the crossbar.
The following video will help you make your own towel rack from old hangers:
Are the towels constantly falling in the bathroom? You will need a paper clip and the following video on how to make another version of towel holders for the bathroom:

This option will appeal to lovers of eco-style.
You will need:
- newspaper tubes;
- hot glue or PVA;
- cardboard;
- rubber.
Take 12 tubes and tie them around the middle with a rubber band. The tubes on one side must be wrapped perpendicularly. The resulting base can be placed on the table on tubes bent in a circle. Next you need to weave 6 rows with a rope. Then another 5 rows, adding one stick each time. This will be the basis. The working tubes must be cut and glued.
The rod also needs to be braided. To do this, remove the elastic band, lubricate it with glue and braid the second half of the sticks. At this point the basis is considered complete.
From cardboard you need to cut three circles with a diameter the size of the woven base.
Next you need to weave another bottom, for the base of which you will need 24 tubes arranged in a circle. In this way you need to weave 13 rows. Afterwards, the main tubes need to be secured together and placed perpendicular to the woven bottom. Take 3 tubes and braid them around the bottom with a rope, like a basket.
Next you need to glue cardboard circles to the resulting basket. To do this, use PVA glue. Weave 3 more rows with a rope and fasten the first part. Then, on 13 racks, you can weave a “half-wall”. To do this, each row starting from the right must be made shorter than the previous one, removing one of the racks from the base (and so on until the end).
The last step is to cut off all unnecessary parts, securing them with a “string”. The finished product must be generously coated with PVA glue.

Existing and preferred installation options
The main rule of fastening remains the correct choice of installation location, so that every visitor can easily reach the towel.
A modern and stylish hanger with a drying rack for the bathroom is a full-fledged heated towel rail, when choosing which, it is important to consider the mounting method:
- hidden fasteners, thanks to which you can emphasize the decorative component of the bathroom arrangement and highlight
- aesthetics of arrangement of a functional room;
- open fastening is used for classic hangers or towel hooks, it uses nails or
- self-tapping screws, decorative fasteners for individual hanger models;
- fixation with suction cups or Velcro, but this solution is only suitable for accessories made of light plastic, and they are not
- able to hold a large and wet towel or bathrobe.
Metal or anti-vandal products
The most common are combined products made from stainless steel alloys with chromium or nickel-chrome. A distinctive feature is increased design qualities. As a rule, products are selected in the same color shades as sanitary fixtures, bathroom curtain rods, coils, holders for glasses, mirrors. Products with chrome plating look most harmonious.

Of other metals, special aluminum alloys are used to produce paper towel holders. They have a complex structure, which gives the surface a special smoothness. At the same time, there are no fingerprints left on it. A device made of aluminum looks advantageous in the presence of other products made of a similar material. Goes well with all types of tiles.
