What are blinds?
Blinds are light-protective structures made of adjustable slats (lamellas) connected to each other, the operating mechanism of which differs depending on the type of structure.
Advantages and disadvantages
The main pros and cons of using it in the interior.
Advantages | Flaws |
Vertical slats visually increase the height of the room and raise the ceiling. | Such strips are not intended for installation on the sash. |
Horizontal blinds have many mounting options. They are very convenient, practical and can significantly save space. | Some models are particularly fragile. Aluminum horizontal slats create noise when there is a gust of wind or when raised and lowered. |
Pleated blinds are suitable for designing non-standard window openings. They are very compact. | If the products are made of paper, they cannot be washed. |
Style and type
Roller blinds, cassette and horizontal blinds visually increase the volume of the room, therefore they are indispensable in small rooms. A free window sill can be in demand in the limited space of a kitchen, veranda, balcony or loggia.
Vertical slats visually increase the height, which is important for rooms with low ceilings. They are also recommended for large glazing and sliding windows.
If the room is subject to temperature changes and high humidity, preference should be given to options with a smooth texture of blinds, which are easy to clean, wear-resistant and have an increased service life.
- The best models for the bathroom are made of plastic or fiberglass.
- Wooden or textured blinds would be appropriate in the living room.
- Fabric curtains are used in the decoration of offices, living rooms, bedrooms and children's rooms. To select the required density of the material, take into account the number of floors of the room and the location of neighboring buildings.
- If the blinds look too strict, the window opening is additionally decorated with curtains or a lambrequin.
- A good option in the interior is a window, closed to the middle with thick blinds and decorated with an airy cloud of tulle.
How to choose window blinds?
A few things to choose from:
- Blinds with wide slats can be used for large windows or for interior partitions.
- Narrow slats are best used for interiors with small windows.
- For small rooms, laconic horizontal designs on the window floor are ideal; they look neat and do not overload the space.
- When choosing rotating vertical models, you should pay special attention to their length. It is desirable that the distance between the slats and the floor be at least five centimeters.
Roller blinds: assorted sizes
Size is another important issue to consider when choosing roller blinds. As a general rule, blinds are supposed to be about 3 centimeters larger on each side than the window opening. They then provide an adequate level of protection from prying eyes and look beautiful, adding elegance to the interior.
However, if you don't want the blinds to cover the entire frame, you can choose smaller options. This is a practical solution that allows you to conveniently open windows when lowering the blinds. In this case, the Roman blinds should be slightly smaller than the window sash, making everything functional and elegant. There are many companies in the market that offer roman blinds in size. This will allow you to choose a solution that is ideally suited to the size of the window.
What types of blinds are there?
There are two types of blinds, which are determined by the type of slats:
- Vertical blinds, due to their functional and aesthetic qualities, such models are perfect for any room interior.
- Horizontal blinds are the classic and most popular option. A huge variety of materials allows you to successfully select a design for any window shape and room area.
The photo shows a spacious living room with a bay window.
Other types of window blinds
There is another group based on visual and functional features:
- Pleated;
- multi-textured;
- photoblinds.
Let us consider the description of each type in more detail.
Pleated
They are a corrugated accordion-shaped fabric that can be attached to the window with Velcro. Such models are very convenient and compact, and when assembled they are practically invisible on the window opening. Often used on roof windows.
In the photo, the window sash, decorated with bright corrugated pleats, allows you to ventilate the kitchen without unnecessary movements.
Multi-textured
Thanks to the combination of combined lamellas from various materials, this design can decorate any interior and give it a very stylish look.
Photoblinds
Slats with colorful realistic images printed on them look very original and emphasize the appearance of the window, giving the interior a creative touch.
The photo shows vertical lamellas with photo printing in the shape of a butterfly.
Design
There are several types of blinds, differing in the location of the plates, method of fastening and functional features.
Horizontal
This type is considered classic and most popular. The basis of the design here are planks arranged horizontally. The elements are combined with each other by a part suspended from the cornice. They are set in motion by laces pulled through holes located along the edge of the plates.
Such systems are installed on the inner sash of the window.
It is also possible to mount the structure to a wall or ceiling. Can be installed on a plastic window without drilling. For this, special brackets are used.
The option of inter-frame placement is very popular. It involves installation on the eaves between the window sashes.
Horizontal blinds can be made from various materials. The color range is also extensive. A feature of horizontal structures is the effect of visual expansion of space.
Vertical
This type is distinguished by the vertical arrangement of the lamellas. The lower part is connected by a chain. These blinds look especially elegant. They also visually increase the height of the room.
The structure is fixed above the window opening. It is also possible to mount the system on the upper slope or ceiling.
This type of design is rarely used for plastic windows. This is due to the fact that the system elements are located too close to the glass. This makes it difficult for them to move.
By changing the angle of the vertical plates, you can smoothly adjust the lighting intensity. Also, vertical systems are more resistant to dust formation.
Fabric vertical structures are usually weighted with a weight for greater stability. Structures made of plastic, wood or aluminum do not need this.
Rolled
This type of blinds is often called roller blinds. They are made exclusively from fabrics. The material can have different densities and textures. The strength, light transmission and durability of curtains depends on this.
Also, all types of fabrics undergo special treatment during the production process with antistatic, dust-repellent and antibacterial effects.
The mechanism of operation of such blinds is very simple. Rising upward, the canvas moves along the guides, twisting onto the roller. The curtains can be fixed at any level.
There are 2 separate types of similar structures for plastic windows:
- Mini-blinds involve installing the system on the window sash itself using fasteners.
- Cassette blinds can be made from any materials. This type of curtain is a special cassette attached to the sash into which the fabric is rolled.
Both varieties are suitable for both straight and inclined windows. They also allow you to open the sash along with the structure.
Pleated
This original version is a fabric fabric assembled into an “accordion”. The blinds are attached to the cornice and controlled manually or remotely.
Pleated curtains are elegant, compact, easy to care for, and fit perfectly into any interior. This type of blinds is suitable for decorating any windows (standard rectangular, round, triangular, arched).
Pleated structures are installed on the frame or the glass itself. Fastening is carried out using 2-sided tape or brackets. Installation in a wall is also allowed. Curtains designed for sloping windows have special differences.
Cables run along the edges of the accordion, preventing the fabric from sagging.
"Day Night"
A fresh approach to daylight control has already gained great popularity. The essence of the idea is alternating transparent and opaque stripes.
System control can be either automatic or manual.
Changing the position of the elements changes the level of lighting in the room. When two opaque strips coincide, the room becomes darker, and when transparent parts coincide, the room becomes lighter.
Zebra blinds, as they are also called, can be open or closed (cassette). Installation is possible without drilling. In this case, the structure is attached to a clip-gripper or using foam tape.
Arched or arkered
A special type of blinds has been developed for arched windows. Such structures are attached to the wall or ceiling. The variety can be any (horizontal, vertical or roll).
The materials are also varied.
Roman
This type of curtain is similar to pleated blinds. Instead of plates, a solid canvas is also used here. The only difference is that when raised, it forms beautiful folds, and when spread out it can be absolutely smooth.
- Usually these are fabric curtains.
- Sometimes bamboo or straw is also used.
Multi-textured
This type of blinds is the most spectacular. Vertical fabric or plastic lamellas, layered on top of each other, form original multi-colored patterns.
There are many options for execution. These include bright colors, delicate shades, matte and pearlescent surfaces. You can choose either one canvas with a pattern or a multi-layer version that imitates lambrequins. The limitless imagination of designers allows you to choose suitable blinds for any interior.
Protective
These blinds are designed for installation outside buildings. They protect garages, windows and doors of offices and cottages. To create such structures, durable metal is used.
Decorative
Every day new types of window decoration appear, combining practicality and beauty.
For example, “Debut” and “Suare” blinds are slats decorated with tulle fabric. Japanese curtains are no less popular. These are smooth fabric panels 40-80 cm wide, fixed to the cornice.
To create such curtains, translucent fabrics are often used, which softly diffuse light throughout the room.
Types of fastenings
Let's consider the types of fastenings for blinds on windows:
- Outside the window opening (wall, ceiling). This option allows you to visually enlarge a room or a narrow window.
- Interframe. Suitable for horizontal slats or pleated blinds. Thanks to this fastening, it is possible to securely fix the structures to the frame.
Installation
It is better to leave the installation of blinds with drilling to specialists in this field. They will handle this without fail and in a short time.
But there is a simpler option that even a beginner can handle - installing blinds without drilling. In this case, you will not have to make through holes in the window frame.
But this method is only possible for installation on opening doors. It consists in the use of plastic fasteners. They are hung on brackets that are placed on top of the frame.
To prevent their accidental displacement, they are fixed on the reverse side with double-sided tape. Such L-shaped plastic brackets are not included with the purchase, but they can be easily found in a store that sells blinds and window accessories. This method is convenient in that it is possible to easily dismantle the blinds if repairs or thorough cleaning are required.
Control methods
There are several options for lowering or raising your blinds.
- Mechanical. The most common way. Adjustment is carried out by a cord, chain, or control knob.
- With electric drive (automatic). This involves the movement of the structure using a special control panel, which at a distance allows you to lower, raise, move the slats to the side or even change their angle of position.
Constructivism – clear and to the point
Constructivism does not tolerate deviations from the main line in design. It is laconic, proclaims the utilitarianism and functionality of each thing.
Everything that is in a room made in this style should not just decorate it, but work for a certain result, otherwise it would be better to remove the decorative element from the room. The peak moment in the development of constructivism was the emergence of the minimalist style in the 90s.
A relative of these two styles is high-tech, which strives for simplicity and lightness in the interior with maximum functionality of all decorative elements. High-tech differs from minimalism and constructivism by the active use of technological progress, which provides wide scope for the imagination of designers
Constructivist blinds
Expert opinion
Smirnova Ekaterina Anatolevna

The constructivist style completely erased fabric window decor from use, preferring instead functional and “laconic” blinds. It is he who should be thanked for the fact that blinds migrated from offices to houses and apartments.
All types of horizontal blinds, roller blinds with a strict color design that repeats the tones in which the interior is made, metal vertical blinds - these are the types that would be out of place in constructivism.
The high-tech style is very attentive to the properties of fabric for roller blinds. Usually, fabrics are chosen for them that give a soft, intimate shade when sunlight passes through them.
Natural fabrics of neutral colors in combination with metal accessories and fittings, as well as fabrics with multi-colored tints (shan-jean) are the ideal solution for this style.
Slat material for blinds
A variety of materials are used to make lamellas.
- Paper. The most common paper option is pleated blinds. They look great as an independent element of decor, and are perfectly combined with curtain designs.
- Fabric. Such models have a good antistatic effect, they are quite easy to wash, and thanks to the huge color palette, they look stylish and fit into any interior.
- Bamboo. Structures made from highly environmentally friendly material are lightweight, do not deform, do not fade in the sun, and have an attractive natural texture.
- Aluminum. Reliable and very practical. They are not subject to wear, are not afraid of moisture and temperature changes.
- Tree. Wood products are strong, durable and environmentally friendly, but have a fairly high price.
- Plastic. It is easy to care for, comes in a wide range of colors and is more affordable.
- Rope. Light flowing threads will add airiness to the room. Due to the absence of lower weights and a chain, such structures beautifully develop in the wind.

DIY roller blinds
An important design decision in the design of any apartment is window decoration. After all, it can serve as a rather bright accent, making the room stylish or, conversely, spoil the idea that the designer wanted to convey. There are now many window treatment solutions that can highlight any style used to create a cohesive look for a room. These can be either multi-layer curtains or minimalist roller blinds. Roller blinds perform their functions perfectly both at home and in the office. Their main advantages are:
- the ability to be used to complement existing curtains and separately in the interior;
- easy installation on plastic and wooden windows;
- tight fit to the surface of the window, closing the interior of the room from the street;
- ease of care;
- not only darkening the room, but also completely preventing the entry of bright light;
- Ease of Management.
Roller blinds are often bought or ordered in specialized stores. But if you can't find what's most suitable, or just want to save money, try making your own roller blinds.
Many people don't see the difference between roller blinds and Roman blinds. But in fact, these are completely different objects with different twisting mechanisms. If Roman blinds are simply folded into horizontal folds and attached with a rope, the blinds will be collected (wound) on a special crossbar.
The assembled canvas can be placed in plain view or hidden in a cassette. Self-made blinds are folded from the bottom and are fastened in the form of stocking strips, which are located at a certain distance from each other. Before you start, you must take all measurements so as not to make a mistake with the size of the product. The width and height of the fabric cut must correspond to the hole. The width of the future product should be slightly larger than the selected hole (about 2-4 cm). This distance will be carried over into the additions. As for the length, the canvas will be at least 10-15 cm longer than the actual height of the opening, in addition, it will add a few centimeters to the highlight.
For production you will need a certain list of tools and necessary materials:
- Several fabrics of the required size: one of them will become the front part of the product, and the other will become the back part. The material at the same time can have the same color;
- To make garters, you need to separately select fabric, ropes, etc. Please note that their length will be equal to twice the length of the curtain plus 20-30 cm;
- a wooden rod measuring 2.5 by 2.5 cm or 4.5 cm, its width will be equal to the width of the curtain or 1 cm less;
- for hanging you should use a wooden rod (if not, then a metal stick will be an excellent solution);
- screwdriver with screws, as well as sewing accessories.
Now that all the necessary elements are prepared, unfold the material and fasten the sides together with the front surface facing inward. For sewing you need two long sides and one wide side. Line up the resulting pocket at the front. Then you need to sew the edge and make an additional pocket for hanging. To sew correctly, place the center of gravity in the pocket, cover the fabric and sew the curtain, retreating about 0.5 cm. At the end of this operation, sew the side gaps. Then wrap the finished ironed fabric around the wood block and secure it with a staple gun.
The next step is to prepare the garter, which should be passed through the top fasteners and secured with a stapler. If desired, you can decorate the top of the product.
You can sew several different versions of roller blinds, using zippers or hooks as a fastener instead of a stapler. This way, you will have the opportunity to change the appearance of the curtain depending on your mood or season.
To sum up, we can say that the market offer of roller blinds is extremely diverse. You are sure to find a solution that is practical and at the same time tailored to your interior design and individual preferences. When choosing the best option, there are many factors to consider, including the size of the blinds, the type of material or how they are installed. By analyzing individual aspects one by one, you are sure to find the ideal model.
Classification by size
There are main length options:
- Short. They save space and provide free access to windows and sills.
- Long. They look beautiful on panoramic or floor-length French window openings.
Types of blinds for the hall
There are several design options:
- horizontal - the most popular and practical type;
- vertical, most reminiscent of curtains;
- pleated - a solid corrugated or pleated fabric, not divided into separate lamellas;
- roll;
- cassette, occupying a minimum of space.
Separately, an arched variety can be distinguished. These are blinds of any design that allows the upper part to repeat the shape of curly window openings.
Which styles are best to use?
The use of sun blinds for interiors in various styles has no limits.
For Provence, wooden slats coated with colorless varnish would be appropriate. They will create a pleasant atmosphere in the room and will not spoil the natural beauty of Provence with their appearance.
The photo shows light wooden slats in a Provence style bedroom.
And for a loft-style interior, aluminum or plastic blinds in light colors are suitable. Such models will look very stylish and will retain the feeling of wide space in the room.
In a modern style, the main thing is that the blinds match the color scheme of the room and combine effectively with surface textures.

Metal overlays, perforated or reflective structures in silver, gold, steel, bronze colors will not stand out against the general background and will perfectly highlight the interior in the high-tech style.

When decorating a room in a classic style, you can use both horizontal and vertical planks in light shades, which will be repeated in the interior decor.
For a Scandinavian interior, the main selection criterion is color - white, black and white or gray colors dominate. Horizontal blinds are suitable, well emphasizing the originality of the Scandinavian style.
Tips for choosing blinds for different rooms
To choose blinds, in addition to appearance, you need to pay attention to several important parameters, including:
- Design. The area required for installation will depend on this.
- Type of control. Manual (mechanical) control with a rotating barrel and cable is used in roller shutters installed on small windows. For large structures it is convenient to use automatic control with an electric motor, which is activated by a button on the remote control. The most modern models have remote control and are equipped with light sensors and timers.
- Model weight. The stronger the supporting structure, the heavier the curtains can be.
- The number of positions in which the slats can be fixed.
- Environmentally friendly: noise level, no emissions of harmful additives into the air.
- Aesthetics - resistance to fading, deformation of individual lamellas, long-term preservation of the original shape of the product.
To the bedroom
The bedroom is a place for rest and relaxation, where there should be no harsh tones, loud or unpleasant sounds. Therefore, almost silent fabric blinds (roller, pleated) with horizontal and vertical designs are most appropriate here.
Models made from natural materials (cotton, jacquard) are suitable for the bedroom. Often fabric slats are impregnated with a special solution, which makes the fabric completely lightproof.
Advice from Mr. Design: for a bedroom in the Provencal style, shabby chic, country, eco, we recommend choosing wooden shutters. For a minimalist or Japanese style room made from bamboo.
To the kitchen
Practical horizontal plastic curtains are suitable for the kitchen: they do not absorb odors, are not afraid of humidity and sudden temperature changes, and are easy to clean.
If you want an interesting color and texture, you can choose a fabric option. Thanks to impregnation, such curtains do not absorb odors, grease and moisture. And curtains with photo printing can become the main accent in the kitchen.
Aluminum models are appropriate in a high-tech kitchen. But do not forget that they heat up in the sun and rumble in the air flow.
You can save space on your kitchen window sill by installing cassette blinds, which are completely assembled in the top cassette.
The classic white color of the shutters allows you to notice and remove dirt over time and harmonizes with kitchen appliances and furniture. This design looks clean and fresh, it fits perfectly with modern styles: minimalism, modern, Scandinavian.
For a loggia or balcony
For a loggia, which often serves as a full-fledged and comfortable room for work or relaxation, there are also rules for choosing blinds.
For aluminum and sliding frames, only hinged structures are suitable, preferably with vertical slats. For casement windows, choose horizontal models with casement mounts.
For the south side it is better to choose curtains made of thick fabric; for the north side, light translucent designs are suitable.
On a small balcony, short models with an attic type of fastening look best.
Curtains with wooden slats harmonize with plants and outdoor furniture, withstand gusts of wind, create a comfortable environment, and adapt to any style.
Bamboo blinds are good for a balcony in eco or ethnic style, chalet, oriental style.
Foyer
Modern blinds are used in the lobby and public areas with large windows to provide quality natural light and light protection.
The classic style involves the use of vertical slabs of different textures that imitate decorative elements. The material can be thick fabric of any shade.
Conference hall
Horizontal plastic or aluminum blinds with remote control are suitable for arranging a conference room intended for holding press conferences, round tables and presentations. Light-protective sheets can be marked.
Color palette
Certain colors create a unique design and give the room the necessary lightness, freshness or depth.
Red or burgundy slats look strict and respectable, but at the same time add brightness and personality to the room.

A room with brown slats creates a solid and noble, but very cozy interior.
Green is a major favorite in modern design. Green slats give the room an attractive and expressive look.

Golden color belongs to a warm color scheme, so it adds even more space and light to the room.
Orange brings dynamism to the interior of the room and creates a sensual, carefree and cheerful atmosphere in it.

White planks look very expressive and stylish, and make the light penetrating through them even brighter.
The stylish black color adds a touch of piquancy to the interior; such blinds look very strict and ascetic and create a monolithic design.
Beige is an enveloping and relaxing color; it calms and creates a favorable atmosphere in the room.
Elegant gray designs do not distract attention and blend harmoniously with the overall background of the room.

How to fit into the interior
The window design should not deviate from the overall style of the room. And here the color, texture and density of the material come to the fore.
Color palette
The Interior Group online store offers modern blinds made in a wide variety of colors.
Canvases painted in a given color add their own energy to the overall atmosphere of the room:
- white - brevity and severity;
- beige - calm and relaxed;
- yellow - cheerfulness and warmth;
- green - attractiveness and expressiveness;
- blue - depth and style;
- pink - tenderness and grace;
- red - brightness and respectability;
- gray - elegance and sophistication;
- brown - nobility and comfort.
In addition to the mood created, the color of the curtains depends on:
- functionality of the premises;
- room size;
- styling, etc.
For example, orange in the kitchen increases appetite, light colors visually expand the room, and warm shades “warm” windows facing north.
Colored blinds allow you to bring your window decoration as close as possible to the intended style. Nowadays, multi-textured products are in fashion, where several colors are initially combined.
Recommendations for use in styles:
- Brown tones of wooden and bamboo products are appropriate in country , chalet and ethnic styles .
- Transparent models fill the loft with a feeling of freedom.
- Mirror surfaces of lamellas are used in high-tech .
- White and gray colors dominate the Scandinavian style.
- Green blinds are suitable for eco-interiors .

Design, drawings and form
They provide the opportunity to create expressive and individual interior design.
Drawings of flowers on blinds will give the room lightness and comfort, and add liveliness and brightness to it. Often used on windows in kitchen interiors.
Various geometric shapes make the interior unique and unforgettable, and also bring a unique atmosphere to it. Look great on the windows in the interior of a children's room.
Blinds with photo printing look very original and non-standard, and allow you to get away from everyday life and dullness. This window design will highlight the creativity of the apartment owner.

The shape of the arch is created by planks of different lengths. Arch-shaped blinds highlight the aesthetics of the room's interior.
Cityscapes - night cities, capitals of various states or their attractions will be an excellent option for decorating almost any room. This pattern on the curtains increases the size of the room and allows you to enjoy your favorite city panoramas without leaving home.
Images of natural landscapes will make any room truly unique.
Alternating colors on the slats gives them a more voluminous look and adds brightness. Such decor can diversify the appearance of the room.
In the photo, the windows in the dining room interior are decorated with figured two-color blinds.
When choosing transparent blinds, you have an excellent opportunity to give the room a fashionable and stylish look.
Presence of ornament
Drawings and ornaments on window panels bring individuality and expressiveness to the interior.
The denser the material, the clearer and brighter the pattern will appear. On translucent roller blinds it may look blurry, but when light from outside hits the window, the image is illuminated and takes on unusual colors.
The presence of ornament is welcomed in the window decoration of entertainment establishments, cafes, salons and residential premises.
The use of photo printing has become a fashionable trend in the world of curtains. It is applied to vertical and horizontal canvases. This window decor draws attention to itself and adds the necessary mood to the atmosphere. A clear and rich image is obtained only when the slats are closed; in other cases, it loses its integrity, but still looks non-standard.
It is possible to use a photo from your personal archive for the picture on the blinds.
Combination ideas
Slats also have many successful combinations with other types of curtains; such combinations require special experience in interior design, so you should carefully use this decorative technique.
Tulle curtains will smooth out the strict appearance of the blinds and add aesthetics to the window design.
The combination of blinds with linen or cotton curtains is a win-win option in interior design, because it gives the window a more cozy look.

Wooden
Advantages:
- creating coziness, especially a comfortable atmosphere;
- a wide range of textures, colors and patterns;
- high strength.
Flaws:
- natural wooden blinds have a beige-brown color;
- poor resistance to strong humidity;
- the price is completely undemocratic.
Room interior design options
When choosing blinds, first of all you need to take into account the individual characteristics of the room.
Such designs will be an ideal and high-quality solution for the kitchen. Blinds in the kitchen make using the window very comfortable.
Using blinds on bedroom windows not only allows you to protect the room well from sunlight and heat, but is also an excellent way to decorate.

Peculiarities
Despite their ancient origins, blinds for plastic windows remain relevant. This is due to their versatility, practicality and durability. They differ from simple curtains in their ability to regulate the light entering the room.
Modern blind designs consist of plates that move by electronic or mechanical control, that is, using an electric drive or chains or laces. The control mechanism is attached to a horizontal cornice . And the movement of the lamellas is carried out by a system of cords stretched through rings placed in the plates.
A beautiful, functional method of window decoration
The system serves as a complete or partial replacement of the room from the flow of light. Blinds have many advantages over simple curtains:
- Comfort. Using electronically controlled designs, you can adjust daylight lighting by pressing one button.
- Practicality. The systems are easy to maintain.
- Style. A variety of options for any interior.
Blinds for non-standard windows
Decorating such windows requires a special original approach.
Dormer windows
Blinds with guides are especially appropriate for attic window openings. Various modifications, materials and methods of fastening to the window sash provide the opportunity for convenient use.
Arched windows
When closed, the slats will emphasize the original shape of the arched window.
With balcony door
The simplest and most practical design method, which harmonizes perfectly with this shape of the window opening.
Panoramic windows
Most often these are spacious interiors, which especially require protection from the sun and proper decor. For large windows, choose long blinds in the color scheme of the interior.
Oblique
Pleated blinds with convenient fastening to the shutters emphasize the interesting shape of the beveled opening and complement it with their unusual texture.

Skylights
These windows are decorated with models that are mounted directly on the frame itself.
Round
Horizontal or pleated options will look very advantageous and will highlight the unusual shape of a round or oval window opening.
Corner
Such windows are located in an area of direct sunlight, so protection is especially necessary for them.
The photo shows a living room and a corner window opening decorated with blinds.
Window
Despite the irrelevance of the window in modern design, if it is present on the window, then it can be decorated with blinds in the same style as the window decor or an emphasis can be placed on it.
Sliding windows
For such window structures, models with a ceiling mounting option are suitable. They will not interfere with the free functioning of the windows.
Roller blinds with print
Printed roller blinds
Roller blinds can have a glossy or matte surface. They are made from a special durable fabric that practically does not let light and cold air into the house. It is noteworthy that such blinds can be completely covered with a pattern chosen by the customer. A mandatory parameter is the density of the curtains: light and airy options are made that easily transmit light, but also dense ones that can block light from entering the room.
