Preparing parts and assembling the frame

You need to work especially carefully on the rear legs, to obtain a curved shape you need to use a ready-made pattern and a jigsaw. The vertical part of the backrest and the rear seat support are attached to the rear legs.

The front legs have a square cross-section and can be made from glued rectangular blocks. Their ends should also be narrowed using an electric jigsaw. Fastenings are made with self-tapping screws, for which it is necessary to pre-drill holes with a diameter less than one third.

Before installation, wood glue is applied to the surface of the joints. The seat bars are secured in the corners with additional parts, with edges cut at 45 degrees. For seating, you can use plywood or furniture fabric strips.

At the last stage of assembly, the armrests and shaped backrest ears are attached. The dimensions of the parts can be taken from ready-made drawings, or a pattern can be taken from old disassembled chairs.

There are chair options that only have 3 legs for support. There are also designs for similar models. A folding chair for fishing with your own hands, assembled and also at minimal cost, will appeal to many. And it's easy to do. You will need the following materials:

• 3 legs about 60 cm long (consisting of round wooden blocks).

• A piece of fabric in the shape of a triangle (for example, thick leather).

• Mounting bolt with ring.

• The mounting bolt is long.

• Washers (3 pcs. fastening and 3 pcs. finishing).

• Nuts (2 pcs.).

A hole is drilled in the center of the cut bars. The same holes are made on the upper sections of the beams. You will need these to attach the fabric to the seat. Holes are drilled in the corners of the fabric for them.

The two legs are connected by a long bolt. A bolt with a ring must be placed on the bolt between the legs. With its help the third leg will be fixed.

The fabric is screwed to the upper section of the legs using decorative washers. After this, a strip of fabric is attached, which will make it convenient to carry the chair.

This version of the chair is very light and compact. Unfolds (assembles) without any effort. And the strap makes it easy to carry. Materials for its manufacture are available. The only drawback is convenience. Three legs do not provide the desired stability. And the small seat does not allow you to completely relax. And the duration is questionable. The fabric begins to tear quite quickly in the corners.

Even when the chair is ready, it is comfortable and the fisherman has sat in it enough at home, it is too early to take it fishing. For greater convenience, you need a specific kit for winter fishing.

These are additional accessories to the seat in the form of pockets for bait and bait, stands for the rod, a folding table for a thermos with tea and manipulations with the feeder and hooks. Only when everything is complete will the chair begin to “work off” the costs of its construction.

DIY body kit

Prices for feeder chair body kit elements on sale are steep. Buying the entire body kit as a set will be no cheaper than the chair itself.

• aluminum tube Ф25 mm, length 300 cm;
• fitting elements with which plastic pipes will be attached to the frame of the chair - 6 pcs.;

• fastening elements for pipe blanks;
• drive-in nuts for furniture fittings may be useful;
• M8 threaded bolts;
