Creating designer furniture from solid wood, creative minds are finding more and more new technologies for processing, assembling, and finishing wooden parts. There is a growing movement around the world to use used, weather-beaten wood - from it designers design unique pieces of furniture that store charm of bygone eras
. Designer furniture made of wood of the 21st century is carpentry processed in a non-standard way for wood by sandblasting, sewn on a sewing machine, and combined into one piece with metal.
Designer wooden furniture is distinguished by its unusual design and high-quality processing of expensive wood species . Such furniture made from natural material will not only provide a stylish appearance to the interior, but will also last a long time. This is a great investment as designer furniture comes in limited editions and will always be a coveted item.
Multifunctional furniture
The Dutch company Makkink & Bey presents unusual furniture that will be useful both in the country and on hikes. The peculiarity of the collection is that all the items do not take up much space and, when transformed, bring dynamics to the interior. Thus, the WarmteWeefsels basket turns into a small table, the VouwPlaats backpack, depending on the situation, can serve as an interesting chair or bed, and the VensterLicht cane instantly becomes a portable screen. All items are made from natural materials.
The problem of organizing free space in the event of an invasion of guests is relevant at any time. Today it is quite simple to solve it - with the help of folding chairs. And so that the chairs themselves do not get in the way under your feet, they can be used as... hangers. This idea was proposed by Canadian designer Philip Malouin.
Simple stools can be a bright and fun interior decoration if you make them with imagination. Designer Kuhyun Cho came up with a colorful collection of stools with holes in the seats. Thanks to them, furniture can be folded into a pyramid, freeing up space in the house. Or you can combine several stools with each other into intricate compositions.
Portuguese designer Daniel Viera developed modular furniture "Hexa". The large table, made of oak and walnut, consists of several hexagonal elements. Each of them can be used separately, taken into the bedroom as a bedside table, etc. And if you put them on top of each other, then instead of a bedside table you will get a whole rack.
Many people have pets that sleep on the bed with their owners. If such “liberties” are unacceptable for you, consider this solution: an interesting bedside table-house. And no one will disturb your sleep, and the four-legged family member will not be offended!
Tree species
Most often, pine, birch, ash, beech or oak are used for production. All these species are not exotic, so their cost will be quite low compared, for example, with mahogany or wenge. The performance characteristics of these breeds fully meet all the wishes of buyers.
Men's affairs
A real man should have everything at hand, and this gives rise to new ideas for furniture that you can make with your own hands. Small construction and repair items can be stored in a compact “workshop”. The Tempel workbench is both your workplace and a spacious chest of drawers with 26 drawers for storing various small items. The highlight of this piece of furniture is the glow-in-the-dark decorative planetarium that decorates the lid of the product.
A brutal wooden chair decorated with tattoos – “Old School” – will also be a useful and interesting addition to the men’s “den”. The idea belongs to the studio The Cookie Bros, but the famous tattoo artist Danny Boy worked on the pictures. However, hearts, daggers, beautiful girls, animals and pistols are not all the “surprises” of this piece of furniture. The armrest of the chair can be rotated to create a table or clothes hanger. A lattice shelf at the bottom of the chair will allow you to hide shoes, magazines, bags and other things there. By the way, the designers have also developed more familiar versions of chairs in a “retro” spirit - without tattoos, painted black and scarlet.
Oak
Oak furniture has long been considered a model of respectability and solidity.
The characteristic features of such furniture are:
- A combination of practicality and beauty;
- Strength of the material;
- Variety of colors and unusual patterns;
- Ease of processing;
- Immune to moisture, fungus, and other pests;
- Durability.
The disadvantage will be the high price of the finished product.
Women's hands
Knitwear gives the interior a special softness and homeliness. Interior items from the Darono company look as if some grandmother-craftswoman worked on them. There are many amazing and useful things for the home: a knitted pendant lamp and a floor lamp, an ottoman resembling a marvelous flower, an aquarium vase and a lamp that look like fishing nets, a chair, chairs, a screen and a flower pot, dressed in a multi-colored web of thread. All items are unique and inimitable.
Four designers from a Japanese company with the unusual name “6474” offered their vision of home furniture – the “Pages Chair”. This item has a non-standard seat: multi-colored flat cushions turn over like the pages of a book. This way you can adjust the height of the seat and the softness of the backrest, and at the same time
